717 14TH STREET

Continuing our focus on downtown living, we are excited to share our latest example of infill design.  The goal was to push conceptions of concrete, glass, and steel from brutal materials to chic, polished finishes.  The glass screen wall and perforated-corrugated texture wall punctuate this investigation.  Enjoy!

721 14TH STREET

A stunning example of our urban infill design work- here we explored a floorplan with a detached garage.  what was gained was a more residential first street facing facade. Additionally, the outdoor living space is framed by both structures increasing the sense of privacy.  inside, we pushed the concept of cabinetry as furniture for the avant garde kitchen.  transparency was also investigated by interior and exterior steel screen walls- suggesting separate room identities.  our love for surfaces continues. The tile work captures your attention!

PRODUCT DESIGN

An exciting collaboration with Michael Thomas Coffee Roaster, one of the premiere third-wave coffee roasters in the southwest, produced this visually striking and vibrant re-branded coffee bag.

A detail not to be missed are the three triangles at the top of the bag.  A subtle nod to our shared enthusiasm for cycling! They represent the colors of the three grand tours of cycling and the final kilometer kite for each race.  A reminder you are about to enjoy the sweet taste of victory!

1515 ROSEMONT AVENUE

Evolving our craft of expertly designed homes- we continue to demonstrate living more densely doesn't mean more drab! Natural light, high ceilings, and an overall sense of airiness all reinforce this modern home.

1509 ROSEMONT AVENUE

Downtown living at its finest.

Employing an open floorplan concept,  this home surprises by living larger than the size suggests. Here our mastery of concrete floors continues. The most popular component has to be the steel 'ribbon' staircase suspended by cables from a wide-flange beam over head. A tactile and fun element to ascend!

ALTURA PARK

An expertly concieved, and well executed mid-century modern home in the heart of Albuquerque.

A segmented and ultra formal floorplan was re-imagined with a more contemporary approach. Bright colors, more natural light and the lateset finishes all lend themselves to a well resolved final product.

PINO AVENUE

This modern/industrial residence was designed and built in 2013 in northeastern Albuquerque.

This project was a true joy from concept through construction.  The clients comitment to the style shines brightly with every detail.  An element not to be missed is the below-grade wine cellar.

5114 GUADALUPE TRAIL

This commisioned project for an interior designer proved to be quite the collaboration.  Together we discussed what the feeling for this home was to be.  After defining the program, the implementation of our design proved to be exciting, fun, and enlightening.  Setting a more progressive design amongst the historical homes of the North Valley was indeed a joy.

1224 8TH STREET

With this project our aim was to truly embrace an open floor plan.  To emphasize this program we utilized a two story ceiling height for the main living space.  Built in the Saw Mill District in downtown Albuquerque we wanted to demonstrate that

denser living could be achieved comfortably.

6842 RIO GRANDE BLVD.

Inspired by the architecture of the Andalucian region of Spain we created this old world classic.

Set against the majestic backdrop of Los Ranchos in Albuquerque, this home confidently reveals every last detail.

RIDGECREST DRIVE

Set in the historic Ridgecrest neighborhood, this home was fully remodeled.  From the kitchen, to the bathrooms every space was re-imagined.

Escaping the outdated, confined floorplan we removed many interior walls to establish a more open kitchen and dining space.  Playing off the Mid-Century Modern theme we updated every space while including many iconic elements.

1809 STAGECOACH ROAD

Designed for a young couple, this modern home was about simplicity; no fuss, no frills.  A home reminiscent of the International Style.  The simple color palette allowed the architecture; the light and shadow play, to be the ornamentation.  Additionally we re-imagined what the residential kitchen could be.  Rather than moving inside a typical 3 sided space the occupant navigates around a central module.  This allows the presentation to be more formal, a space that entertains well.

1222 8TH STREET

Set in the Saw Mill District, this home was an exploration in square foot efficiency.  At just under 1800 square feet we were happy to discover the home lives much larger than its size.  The natural light, spacious floor plan all aid in this overall impression.

FURNITURE

Frustrated with typical contemporary furniture assembly techniques we patented a new type of joinery.  Only requiring 3 essential parts; this allows for a piece of furniture to be assembled and disassembled with ease and speed.  No hardware or fasteners required! Furniture that can keep pace with our mobile lives.
